Our Early Childhood Education Program Offerings
Flexible scheduling.
Choose 2, 3 or 4 days per week. Preschool hours are 8:00 am – 2:00 pm.
Low child to staff ratio.
In addition to our highly trained staff, we have a number of dedicated volunteers and university interns providing lots of one-to-one interaction with children.
Play-based, active learning.
Our curriculum activities are designed to promote active leaning in art, storytelling, literacy, math, science, music, movement, health and safety. We teach the ‘Handwriting without Tears’ and ‘Second Step Violence Prevention’ curriculum.
Positive discipline.
Our staff is highly skilled in providing consistent guidance that emphasizes respect, caring, self-esteem, and collaborative problem solving.
Parent Involvement and support.
Parent meetings are conducted prior to each child entering our program. Progress notes are sent home three times a year (fall, winter, and spring). Newsletters are sent home twice a month to keep communication flowing. Regular parent-teacher conferences (fall and spring) and parent meetings give parents the opportunity to be part of the team in developing their child’s educational program.
Beautiful facility in a park setting.
With our large outdoor play area and with Starker Arts Park right next door, the outdoor possibilities are endless!
Specially trained staff.
Our trained educators also have access to special educators and counselors to meet the needs of all children.
